The Cultural Association āGli Amici di Fritzā believes that:
MUSIC is an invaluable cultural heritage capable of transmitting and incarnating important values.
Music, especially the operatic heritage, is of historical and cultural, educational and formative, and social value.
This is why every individual should have access to a complete range of musical genres, both in terms of use and from the point of view of educating people to understand it.
Often, in small local Italian ā and other ā communities, excluded from the network of major concert events, the operatic musical heritage is barely accessible to the public and so remains, in part, unfamiliar.
The Opera Company āGli Amici di Fritzā organises events, exhibitions, festivals, congresses and formative and informational workshops to contribute to the circulation of opera and operetta.
Our Opera Company takes inspiration from the splendour of the famous āCarro di Tespiā, a travelling open-air theatre show which, from the late 19th century, took companies and sets to all areas of Italy on long tours, involving hundreds of thousands of spectators. The āCarro di Tespiā reached even the most remote places, normally cut off from important theatrical events.
So the principle of our activity is to be as ātravellingā as possible, with the show going to the audience rather than the other way round.
The Cultural Association āGli Amici di Fritzā aims to pursue this end with maximum openness, professionalism and top quality, both in producing events and in its educational and formative activities.
